Our Galaxy has started locking the doors by itself. For example, doors are unlocked by remote, put kids in the back, close door and central locking locks all doors! Can the remote have been accidently reprogrammed to do this? This problem has suddenly came on recently. Edited by paj

The car will lock automatically after about 1-2 mins if you unlock but dont open a door. So, I summise that a doorswitch is not working.

Hi

My alarm kept going off the other day, about every 20 mins, i locked the car door with the keys, and turned them twice witin 2 secs, and the alarm didn't go off again. Since then it has been fine when i have locked it with the Fob

But while i locked the car with the keys i found if you keep the key in turned position, the windows Come down passenger and driver side !!

Nice idea for a hot day ;)

yes its called 'global closing',if you keep the key in the locked position for more then 2 seconds it will also raise the windows and on certain models do the sunroof aswell, but no doubt there is a lot of cars out there that do not do this at all.

alarm repeatedly going off is a symptom of a low battery - maybe you've run it since youv'e locked it without the alarm activated (ttwice in 2 secs) and battery is now charged enough - ours did this a lot last yer and after a couple of non-starts due to battery we replaced it - lovely ever sinc (battery was original 7 years old)

my alarm keeps going off on its own, when it feels like it! AGAIN

it does is mostly when i get to work in the mornings, after about 20 -30 minutes and then throughout the day every 30 minutes. I have had the battery checked and it is at 12.64 on the volt meter at kwik fit

I have also checked the rubber grommits on the doors and bonnet, but they all seem fine with no splits. Its driving me nuts, any help

Thanks Gregers and NikpV for your help
